Say hello to Eclipse. Each day she leaves her house, by herself, and takes the bus downtown to the dog park where she spends a few of hours getting exercise and making friends, and then she takes the bus back home again.
She even has her own bus pass attached to her collar!
It started when her human, Jeff Young, was taking too long when the bus arrived, so she went ahead and got on the bus herself. The bus driver recognized her and dropped her off at the park and later Jeff caught up with her.
After several more trips by herself, Jeff let her go on her own since she always came back home a couple hours later.
Now, the bus drivers all know here and she has gotten to know many of the regular passengers and will sit next to them and she brings a smile to their face.
Eclipse has become the sunshine of Seattle, and the whole world needs to hear her story!
