West Brom make approach for Wigan centre back Cedric Kipre as they look to bolster defensive options following promotion to the Premier League

West Brom have asked about Wigan Athletic centre back Cedric Kipre.
The 23-year old Paris-born defender had been talking to Blackburn Rovers over a move but Albion’s intervention could scupper that.
It’s understood a deal had been agreed with Rovers for around £900,000 and they had been discussing personal terms.

Kipre, formerly of Leicester City, was impressive last season and has attracted interest from a number of clubs.
West Brom want a centre back. They had targeted Brighton’s Shane Duffy but he has spoken to West Ham and Celtic too.
Crisis club Wigan sold Jamal Lowe to Swansea City on Thursday and have interest from Sheffield Wednesday in Josh Windass.
Wigan’s administrators, Begbies-Traynor say there are four bidders at an advanced stage pushing to buy the club and its assets for around £4m. Two are UK-based and two are from USA.
