A new study has found that exposure to UV rays boost vitamin D, which may protect against auto-immune disease. The findings of the study were published in the online issue of ‘Neurology’, the journal of the American Academy of Neurology.

The study follows previous work by other researchers that have demonstrated an association between increased ultraviolet exposure in childhood and lower odds of adult multiple sclerosis (MS).
