Strong wind and heavy swells warning for Rodrigues as from 1600 hours this Thursday 07 January 2021.
The combined
effect of the anticyclone far to the south-east of the Mascarenes and the tropical depression ” Danilo” will cause a very windy weather over the region. The wind from the South-East will blow at a mean speed of 45-50 km/h with gusts of the order of 90 km/h in exposed areas.
The public is advised to be cautious while manoeuvering on tall structures and while driving along roads due to crosswinds.
Heavy swells from the Eastern sector will influence the state of the sea as from tomorrow.
