Protestation against monkey trade 🐒
Animal Rights, an international organisation active in Belgium and the Netherlands, held a protest outside the Embassy of Mauritius in Brussels today, and delivered a letter urging the government of Mauritius to refuse the application by Biosphere Trading for the 10-fold expansion of its monkey breeding farm and the capture of up to 1,000 long-tailed macaques from the wild.
We are delighted that Animal Rights and One Voice in France have joined our campaign with Progress Science Mauritius to raise awareness about the shocking plight of monkeys in Mauritius and the country’s increasing role in the cruel global trade in monkeys’ lives.
