Marco Verratti hit by fresh injury less than a week before Manchester United take on PSG in Champions League

  • Marco Verratti only returned to training for PSG after an injury earlier this week
  • But Thomas Tuchel cast doubts on him being available for the Bordeaux clash
  • PSG face Manchester United in Champions League only days after that match

Marco Verratti has suffered another injury blow ahead of PSG‘s clash with Manchester United.

The 26-year-old had handed the French champions a boost earlier this week when he returned to training on Monday following a period out with an ankle injury he picked up in January.

PSG are already going to be without Neymar for the Champions League last-16 match against United next week.

Verratti’s return improved their options for the clash, but the Italian missed the extra-time win against Villefranche in the Coupe de France on Wednesday night.

And Thomas Tuchel confirmed after the game that Verratti had been hit by another injury.

‘Marco Verratti could not finish training yesterday [Tuesday]. He had problems,’ he said.

‘His new problem is something else, but I do not know too much.’

Navin Ramgoolam: «Aret guet telefonn gramatin tanto !»

[ad_1]

«If you meet with triumph and disaster

And treat those two imposters  just the same…

.… you’ll be a Man, my son… »

Eden Hazard’s £100m dream move to Real Madrid ‘could be scuppered by interest in Neymar’

Eden Hazard’s dream move to Real Madrid ‘could be scuppered by their interest in Neymar’ as Chelsea slap a huge £100m price tag on forward

  • Eden Hazard has long suggested that he could leave Chelsea in the summer
  • He has made it clear that he would love to play for Real Madrid one day in future
  • Real are still keen on Neymar and that could delay any potential move for Hazard

Amitai Winehouse For Mailonline

Neymar could scupper Eden Hazard‘s dream of moving to Real Madrid.

The Chelsea forward has long suggested he could leave Stamford Bridge at the end of this season — and he has made it clear that he would love to play at the Santiago Bernabeu.

But, according to the Sun, Real are still keen on Neymar, who have been a long-term target.

The Brazilian would cost around £200million to bring back to La Liga from Paris Saint-Germain. Chelsea have slapped a £100m price tag on Hazard.

Neymar is thought to be keen on a return to Spanish football after a tough spell at the Parc des Princes.

It might mean that Hazard has to wait and see whether Real move for Neymar, as he is now likely to be the second choice if the Champions League holders want to make a splash in the transfer market.

The 28-year-old cast doubts over his Chelsea future earlier this week when he said: ‘I know what I’m going to do. I have decided.’

And in December, he gave a radio interview in France where he admitted: ‘You know me, I have always loved Real Madrid.

‘We’ll see what happens. I’m finishing this year with Chelsea. I still have a year of my contract. After this year, we’ll see.’

Earlier in the season, Hazard also said: ‘Real Madrid is the best club in the world. I don’t want to lie. It is my dream since I was a kid.’

Chelsea plan to fight for him by asking for a significant transfer fee despite his contract expiring in 2020, and they are also willing to offer him more than £300,000-a-week to extend his stay.
