Jordi Alba’s thumping strike from a tight-angle and 18-year-old Ilaix Moriba’s late goal was enough for Barcelona to beat Osasuna on the road and go within two points of LaLiga leaders Atletico Madrid.

Lionel Messi set up both goals – the first with a terrific through ball to the Barcelona left back to fire into the roof of the net, the second a simple lay-off – as Ronald Koeman’s side earned a hard-fought three points.

It means Barca, who have a presidential election on Sunday, are two points off leaders Atletico ahead of Sunday’s Madrid derby, though Messi and Co have played two games more.
