MLA Bheema Mandavi and 4 others were killed in a Naxal attack carried out on a BJP Convoy in Chattisgarh’s Dantewada district. Naxals targeted a convoy carrying a group of BJP leaders in which the MLA, three police officers and a driver was killed while they were returning from the last day of campaigning. The Improvised Explosive Device (IED) blast which occurred in Shyamgiri was followed by a round of firing by the Naxals.
