Mauritius Shopping Festival: President Roopun calls for more local economic activities
The Mauritius Shopping Festival organised by Rajasthan Works Ltd was inaugurated, today, in presence of the President of the Republic of Mauritius, Mr Prithvirajsing Roopun and the Chairman of Rajasthan Works Ltd, Mr Narendra Kumar Jain, at the RM Garden, in Trianon.
President Roopun highlighted that the event is in line with Government’s post COVID-19 action plan to revitalise several sectors of the economy as well as sustain local entrepreneurs.
He added that such initiatives should be encouraged to support local entrepreneurs, encourage local consumption and boost economic activities in the country and thus, called for the participation of local entrepreneurs.
The shopping festival will span over three days from 28 January to 01 February 2021 from 10 00 am to 09 00 pm. It will be a shopping experience for the population as there will be various companies showcasing their products and services at special rates.
Cultural shows are also on the programme during the three-day activities. Free bus service will be provided from Port-Louis and Rose Hill. The tickets are at Rs 25 and free for kids below 12 years old.
