Manchester United are still in contact with Aston Villa over £80m-rated Jack Grealish

Manchester United remain in contact with Aston Villa regarding a move for Jack Grealish but are not pursuing a deal for Monaco’s Benoit Badiashile despite reports of a £21m offer. 

United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is targeting Grealish, who produced some excellent performances for Villa last season.

Although United were linked with Badiashile, they do not want to sign the 19-year-old centre-back.

United could offer goalkeeper Sergio Romero to Villa as part of the deal as they look to secure the signing of Grealish.

With Dean Henderson having signed a new long-term contract at United as he looks to compete with David de Gea, Romero could be allowed to leave.

Grealish was surprisingly overlooked for Gareth Southgate’s latest England squad but if he was to join United and perform consistently then the 24-year-old would be difficult to ignore.
