‘He just pushed it right over like volleyball!’: Los Angeles Angels fielder Jo Adell endures fielding HOWLER with ‘four-base error’ in MLB clash against Texas Rangers

After making his Major League Baseball debut just a week ago, Los Angeles Angels’ Jo Adell immediately suffered a harsh reality check when coming up against the Texas Rangers.

Adell messed up an extremely routine catch just in front of the stands off Rangers‘ Nick Solak, before the ball bounced out of his glove and over the wall.

And Adell – who couldn’t believe what he had just done – immediately put his hands over his head after his fielding gaffe.

The blunder was initially recorded as a home run but ultimately went down as a four-base error.

Adell was touted as one of the top prospects in baseball before spring and will hope to bounce-back and help the Angels recover from a run of poor form, sitting bottom of the American League West with 11 losses and only five wins.

The 21-year-old’s own form is worrying Angels fans, making a slow start on both offensive and defensive statistics – his Rangers error the latest in a string of errors.

Adell was devastated after only making his Major League Baseball debut a week beforehand

‘It’s gonna have to be me just settling in, figuring out my groove and understanding it’s a game and things happen,’ Adell said, reflecting on the game.

‘You make mistakes. Just go out and do you. I think I’m not there yet. I’m ready to get there. I’m on my way to getting there.
