Landal Gwel an Mor in Portreath, Cornwall has become the first resort in the Southwest UK to gain visitor attraction status, in a move to open up their facilities to more guests and promote Portreath as a day trip destination for Cornwall.

Currently crowned Visit Britain’s holiday village of the year, Landal Gwel an Mor is celebrated for luxury lodges and extensive resort facilities in a stunning location – a year-round, all-weather destination with an exciting collection of activities on offer.

Day visitors can enjoy fishing, golf, swimming, spa treatments, soft play, climbing walls, wildlife, family activities, and dining. With free parking and electric car charging facilities, visitors can take part in activities onsite then stroll through Gwel an Mor’s woodland to Portreath beach and village.

“There are lots of locals and visitors who haven’t discovered us yet so we plan to change this, opening our doors to welcome day guests. We want to share our top-class facilities with more holidaymakers but also shine a spotlight on the stunning beach and village we have at Portreath,” said Matt Way, resort director of Landal Gwel an Mor.
