Japanese Minister of Foreign Affairs on official visit to Mauritius
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Japan, Mr Toshimitsu Motegi accompanied by a nine-member delegation will be on an official visit to Mauritius from 12 to 13 December 2020.
During his visit to Mauritius, the Minister will pay a Courtesy call on the Prime Minister, Mr Pravind Kumar Jugnauth, at the Clarisse House in Vacoas.
He will then have a working session with the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Regional Integration and International Trade, Mr Nandcoomar Bodha, the Minister of Environment, Solid Waste Management and Climate Change, Mr Kavydass Ramano, and the Minister of Blue Economy, Marine Resources, Fisheries and Shipping, Mr Sudheer Maudhoo.
In addition, a Grant Agreement will be signed between Minister Bodha and Minister Motegi to further consolidate the existing bilateral ties between Mauritius and Japan.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Japan will also effect a site visit at Rivière des Créoles, to take stock of the situation post MV Wakashio.
