England have got off to a brilliant start with the ball on the second morning of the forth Test as Ben Stokes got India skipper Virat Kohli out for a duck to help keep the hosts at 80 for four in Ahmedabad.
Attempting to protect their modest first-innings score of 205, England allowed the hosts just 16 runs in the first hour of play, with James Anderson typically tight and Jack Leach pulling a strong shift.
Stokes had been suffering from illness on the first day, but if there were any lingering symptoms they not prevent him pounding away in pursuit of a breakthrough.

The India captain waves to the fans as he is quickly dismissed by Stokes in Ahmedabad
He was into his seventh over of the morning when he landed the big one – India skipper Virat Kohli on the receiving end of an effort ball that slammed into the surface and rose steeply.
Kohli was caught cold, pushing uncertainly and feathering the edge through to Ben Foakes as it passed him at shoulder height.
He was gone for a duck, out to Stokes for the second time in the series, and India were stuck in a rut at 43 for three.
The introduction of Jack Leach’s left-arm spin also paid dividends for England, with a tight wicket-to-wicket line locking up Pujara.
Jack Leach was also in fine form as he helped dismiss Cheteshwar Pujara early on
James Anderson helped England regain some control with the dismissal of Ajinkya Rahane
His perseverance came good when the methodical number three brought his bat down slightly late and was struck on the front pad clean in front of middle stump.
The umpire’s finger went up and a batting review only confirmed Pujara’s fate to leave India 40 for two.
Ajinkya Rahane made 27 runs in positive but slightly frantic fashion and England managed to pick him off in the last over before lunch.
Anderson, back to make use of the swinging ball, was the successful bowler as he found the edge and saw Stokes dive to snap up the slip catch.
At 80 for four, both sides now had the chance to push for control.
