Conor McGregor ‘spends almost £2million to buy Dublin pub where he assaulted a 50-year-old customer in 2019’ – and UFC superstar claims older man has been ‘barred’

Conor McGregor has reportedly spent almost £2million to buy the pub where he assaulted a customer in 2019.
The UFC superstar recently added the Marble Arch establishment in Dublin to his growing portfolio – but has history there after being caught on CCTV throwing a punch at 50-year-old Des Keogh.
According to The Currency, the venue marks McGregor’s second purchase in the area as he looks to expand his business ventures outside the octagon.

McGregor was fined £860 by the Dublin District Court after admitting to assaulting Keogh, who refused a shot of the fighter’s own Proper No. Twelve whiskey.
Having been dragged away from the incident after the scuffle in front of several other patrons, McGregor also issued an apology.
Judging by a recent social media post from the typically outspoken Irishman, however, Keogh may not be returning to the Marble Arch.

McGregor quote tweeted the article from The Currency which revealed all the details about the new ownership, and wrote: ‘Ye and your mans barred (sic).’
The 32-year-old also splashed out a reported sum of £1.7m on another pub in Dublin in 2019.
The Black Forge, which is situated near his hometown of Crumlin, was the first joint to be acquired by McGregor.
It is thought ‘The Notorious’ spent a further £868,000 to renovate the venue and transform it into a gastro pub.

McGregor is currently preparing for his trilogy showdown with Dustin Poirier ahead of UFC 264.
A cheeky recent update has suggested his investment into projects away from the sport is not over, though.
After Manchester United pulled out of the much-maligned European Super League, McGregor said that he is weighing up buying the Old Trafford giants.
The Glazer family have found themselves under renewed pressure to sell up and boyhood supporter McGregor has asked his followers on Twitter for their views.
