CHRIS SUTTON: It’s Jude Bellingham over Jesse Lingard for me… Gareth Southgate has some tough decisions to make for his Euro 2020 squad, with Kieran Trippier, Eric Dier and James Maddison my big-name absentees
I sat down to work out my England squad on Monday and Gareth’s got some difficult decisions to make.
You don’t have to use all 26 places – Spain boss Luis Enrique has only selected 24, for example – but I’d say it’s better to use your full quota, just in case.
In my squad, there was no room for Eric Dier. I’ve got enough cover at centre back in Harry Maguire, John Stones, Tyrone Mings and a few in midfield who could do a job there in an emergency.

Jude Bellingham has got the nod over Jesse Lingard in Chris Sutton’s England Euros squad
Lingard has transformed his form since joining West Ham on loan but is overlooked by Sutton
Congratulations to Kieran Trippier on winning LaLiga, but he didn’t make my squad either, with Kyle Walker, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Reece James taking up my right back and right wing-back slots.
In midfield, James Maddison doesn’t make the cut, and neither does James Ward-Prowse, no matter how good he is at free-kicks.
Jesse Lingard just misses out, too, along with Callum Hudson-Odoi, Danny Ings and Ollie Watkins.
Overall, I’m pretty pleased with my selection. There are some solid players on show here.
Sutton would also axe Eric Dier with Gareth Southgate facing several tough choices this month
