Celtic 2-0 Hamilton: Leigh Griffiths and Odsonne Edouard strike for hosts

Celtic have recorded their first win of 2021 amid a turbulent start to the year after beating Hamilton 2-0 on Wednesday night.

Leigh Griffiths put Celtic ahead in the 12th minute thanks to a brilliant left-footed strike from outside the penalty area.

Odsonne Edouard then doubled the hosts’ lead immediately after the restart after some fine trickery in the penalty area.

Edouard’s early second-half strike ensured Celtic enjoyed a comfortable night at the office.

Neil Lennon’s men, who have three matches in hand, still sit a mammoth 23 points behind bitter rivals Rangers at the top of the Scottish Premiership
