I am very proud to announce that the village of L’Escalier has, as from yesterday, been now officially classified as the first-ever International City of Peace in Mauritius on the world stage.
The initiative is attributed to the very own efforts of myself, Mr. Chelvin Ramsamy, a young peacemaker born and raised in this village with a firm commitment, with my family and my friends, to promote a culture of peace at L’Escalier. We plan to build resilience by cultivating a culture of tolerance, inclusiveness, harmony, coexistence, love and the consolidation of social peace.
