At the bottom of Trou aux Cerfs crater! Photo shot in 2017. Trou aux Cerfs crater is 80m depth approximately and around 600m in diameter.
Many decades ago, there were plantation fields at the bottom. You can see old photos of it in history books or old archives.
If you are planning to descend, bring mosquito repellent and wear a good pair of trekking shoes. Rope is not needed but track is slippery!
Some people still fish in the crater lake!
