Liverpool duo Adam Lallana and Xherdan Shaqiri have become the first of the club’s stars to return to training following their title celebrations.
The pair were pictured leaving Liverpool’s Melwood training ground on Saturday while Jurgen Klopp‘s squad continued to celebrate their first Premier League title.
They were also joined by Mo Salah and James Milner after the Merseyside giants were finally crowned top flight champions on Thursday after Chelsea beat Manchester City, bringing an end to a 30-year wait.

Xherdan Shaqiri was also pictured leaving training two days after celebrating Liverpool’s title
Star forward Mo Salah was also pictured smiling as he left the club’s training facilities
And the quartet were part of the celebrations alongside their Liverpool team-mates at Formby Hall.
But there has not been much respite for any of them as they were back at it just a couple of days later.
Swiss international Shaqiri has been out since January with a calf injury, while midfielder Lallana has not been included in either of Klopp’s squads since the Premier League restart following the coronavirus pandemic.
The duo were also joined by veteran James Milner in participating in training at Melwood
Lallana will leave Liverpool at the end of the season upon the expiration of his contract
The former Southampton man has extended his deal at Anfield to last until the end of the season but will leave the new champions in the summer after the club confirmed his departure when the Premier League release lists were announced.
Winger Shaqiri, 28, has also been linked with moves to Newcastle and his brother confirmed in April that ‘two or three clubs’ showed concrete interest in his services.
Liverpool are next in action against the side they have comprehensively beaten to the title, Manchester City, on Thursday.
Klopp’s side are expected to receive a guard of honour from Pep Guardiola’s men as well as from the rest of the other sides they face between now and the end of the season.
