Frank Lampard and Chelsea are growing increasingly confident that they have convinced Olivier Giroud to remain at the club beyond the upcoming January transfer window.
According to The Telegraph, Lampard believes that Giroud can have added belief over his importance to Chelsea’s ranks after starting the last three Premier League games.
Earlier in December, Giroud fired all four goals as Chelsea ran out 4-0 winners against Sevilla but the Frenchman later underlined his desire for more regular game time.

Frank Lampard is confident the France striker is now not looking to leave the club in January
The 34-year-old striker is eager to secure his place in France’s Euro 2020 squad next summer but there is fierce competition for places among the World Cup winners.
Since his stunning four-goal blitz against Sevilla, he has started Chelsea’s last three Premier League encounters. He scored twice in those matches, once in the 3-1 win over Leeds and another in the 2-1 defeat by Wolves.
Giroud nearly left Chelsea in the previous January transfer window amid interest from rivals Tottenham but stayed and played a key part for Lampard’s side in the remainder of the season.
And the France striker could well repeat that role again, with Chelsea facing a bumper schedule in the coming weeks.

Their four games over the Christmas period include clashes with Arsenal and Manchester City while there is also an FA Cup clash in the new year against Morecambe.
After the Wolves loss on Tuesday, Lampard’s men are currently sixth in the Premier League standings, six points behind leaders Liverpool.
Their next match is on Monday against London rivals West Ham at Stamford Bridge, where Giroud will look to add to his eight goals for the Blues so far this season.
