West Indies vs England LIVE SCORECARD: Follow the latest from day one of the third Test in St Lucia

  • England play West Indies in the final Test of the three-match series on Saturday
  • Tourists are playing for little more than pride after going 2-0 down in Antigua
  • Ben Stokes passes late fitness test with Keaton Jennings and Mark Wood recalled
  • Joe Root lost the toss and invited to bat first for second match in a row

Sportsmail Reporter

England will be playing for little more than pride in the third and final Test against West Indies in St Lucia, beginning on Saturday.

A 10-wicket thrashing in Antigua last week confirmed a series victory for the hosts, after a one-sided affair in the first Test in Barbados.

The tourists have rung the changes once again as they look to end the long-form segment of their tour on a high.

Ben Stokes was named in England’s side despite struggling with a bruised right heel as England lost the toss and were put in to bat for the second match in succession.

He returned to training on the eve of the match and came through his session unscathed.

That meant no place for fellow all-rounder Sam Curran, with Mark Wood recalled to add pace to the bowling attack and Keaton Jennings back to open the innings just one match after being dropped.

Play gets underway at 14.00 GMT.

England camp all focused ahead of France clash as Eddie Jones’ troops look to build on impressive Six Nations start against rivals Ireland

  • England have put in their final training session ahead of facing France on Sunday
  • The Red Rose are looking to build on their recent huge victory over Ireland
  • France will arrive at Twickenham following opening day capitulation vs Wales
  • Head coach Eddie Jones has warned opponents his side will keep getting better

Danny Gallagher For Mailonline

The England camp has maintained an air of focus this week, as Eddie Jones‘ men prepare to build on their stellar opening Six Nations victory over Ireland in Dublin.

The Red Rose pulled off their first victory on Irish soil since 2011, and are now readying to go up against France at Twickenham.

Jones put his troops through their paces on Saturday morning for a final light training session.

England worked on engagement, passing and ball retention as Jones watched on with his coaching staff, wrapped up from the chilly temperatures with gloves and a trademark black cap.

England will find themselves up against a plucky France side desperate to make amends from their opening day errors against Wales.

Les Bleus were in the driving seat against Warren Gatland’s side and had built a healthy lead, but for a complete capitulation to see their chances come crashing down.

Despite England earning many plaudits for their powerhouse of a display against the Irish, Jones has already warned opponents that his side will be getting stronger.

‘We’ll be better this week,’ said Jones in the days following the Dublin heroics, ‘no doubt about it.

‘Last week was just the start. Even our training yesterday was much higher quality than it was in Portugal and I’ve got no doubt we are going to be better this week.

‘There’s no reason for us not to be focused. We’ve worked extremely hard this week. We’re in a good physical state. We’ll be better than we were the previous week.’
