The post Agoda and Alipay+ expand on their partnership to offer greater rewards appeared first on TD (Travel Daily Media) Travel Daily.

Agoda and Alipay+ today announced a new partnership that will leverage Alipay+ solutions on the Agoda platform for better customer benefits and rewards.  This is in addition to the existing integration of multiple digital wallets, namely the AlipayHK, GCash and TrueMoney, through Alipay+ on Agoda’s platforms.

With this new partnership, multiple Alipay+ marketing solutions, including Alipay+ Rewards and its in-cashier marketing services, can be used for discounts distribution and redemption on Agoda. This enables Agoda to enhance its transaction conversion rate, while travelers can enjoy great returns in countries and regions like Hong Kong SAR of China, the Philippines, and Thailand – with the possibility of more regions to come in the future.

As the global economy recovers from the COVID-19 pandemic, the online travel industry has seen a vigorous rebound. In some key countries across the region, bookings have increased nearly tenfold since the start of the year, according to Agoda data and this number is only expected to increase.

“As we gear up for the return to travel, we want to offer our customers greater choice and flexibility in their bookings. The pandemic has greatly accelerated the digitisation of travel and we are committed to keeping with the times as we continue to onboard more diverse modes of payments globally. We value this partnership with Alipay+ as it helps us offer more benefits to the end user through the clever integration of new payment solutions and rewards programs – allowing us to reach out to and target a wider network of customers”, said Damien Pfirsch, CCO, Agoda.

Introduced by Ant Group in 2020, Alipay+ is a suite of global cross-border digital payments and marketing solutions designed to enable businesses, especially small and medium-sized businesses, to process a wide range of mobile payment methods and reach hundreds of millions of regional and global consumers. Other leading e-wallets supported by Alipay+ include Boost (Malaysia), Rabbit LINE Pay (Thailand), Touch ‘n Go (Malaysia), Kakao Pay (South Korea), Klarna (Europe) and more.

“We are glad to reach this new partnership with Agoda to support the recovery of the travel industry from the pandemic.” said Jing Yin, General Manager of Global Strategic Accounts of International Business Group at Ant Group, “With innovative payment and marketing solutions, Alipay+ is committed to helping merchants reach global consumers as a cross-border economic connector and allow consumers to make payments on global platforms with their preferred digital wallets.”

Agoda has partnered with Ant Group and integrated Alipay as a payment option in the Chinese market as early as 2013. Since early 2022, Agoda has been integrating Alipay+ payment solutions to accept payments through multiple digital wallets across Asia. On July 4, Agoda also worked with Alipay+ to launch a Brand Day campaign in the Philippines market.

Napoli and Villarreal make loan enquiries for Tottenham’s £65million midfield flop Tanguy Ndombele

Tottenham receive loan enquiries for midfielder Tanguy Ndombele from Villarreal and Napoli… with Antonio Conte banishing the £65m flop from training as he tries to offload the French international

  • Villarreal and Napoli make loan enquiries for Tottenham’s Tanguy Ndombele
  • The £54million flop spent the second half of last season on loan at Lyon in Ligue 1
  • However Ndombele has indicated he could stay at the north London outfit

Tottenham have received enquiries from Napoli and Villarreal over a loan deal for midfielder Tanguy Ndombele.

Ndombele joined the north London side for a club-record £65million in the summer of 2019 from Lyon, but failed to deliver the consistency and quality promised by his fee.

After struggling to impress under Jose Mourinho and Antonio Conte, the French international spent the second half of the 2021-22 season on loan at former club Lyon, and now looks set for a further spell away from the club.

Tottenham’s Tanguy Ndombele has been subject of loan enquiries from Villarreal and Napoli

Outcasts Ndombele, Sergio Reguilon, Harry Winks and Giovani Lo Celso could all leave Spurs this summer and have been excluded from Conte’s first team training sessions.

However, Spurs have found difficulty in offloading the players due to hesitancy from individuals to commit to moves.

In the meantime, the quartet will continue to train on their own as they wait to hear from any potential deals.

The 25-year-old has also fallen further down the pecking order following the signing of Yves Bissouma, along with the January purchase Rodrigo Bentancur.

Therefore, Ndombele – who has failed to impress four Tottenham managers during his time at the club – has been offered to clubs by his team of representatives in the hope of finding him regular football by the end of the window.

Meanwhile, Ndombele has hinted he would like to stay at Spurs as he thinks it would be ‘possible’ to be happy at Tottenham.

Ndombele went on loan to former club Lyon in January last year and made 15 appearances

‘Yes, I think it’s possible to be happy at Tottenham,’ he told Media Carre, ‘Regardless of where you can go, you can be happy or unhappy.

‘We’ll see how things go during pre-season. I’m not putting any more pressure on myself than that.’

Reflecting on what may lie ahead for him, he added: ‘What I want is to be happy, take pleasure in what I do, play, win, that’s all I want.’

In 91 games at Tottenham across three seasons, Ndombele has managed 10 goals and nine assists, and has made seven senior appearances for France.

Windstar Cruises reveals new Caribbean and Central America Cruises

Windstar Cruises

Windstar Cruises

Windstar Cruises has just the thing to shake off the winter blahs. The small ship cruise line has drawn up a new beach bum’s delight of an itinerary beginning winter of 2023.

Beach Fun & Sun: A Remote Caribbean Getaway has seven days on some of the most beautiful islands in the Caribbean including stops in St. Maarten, Antigua, St. Barts, Anguilla, Jost Van Dyke (overnight), Virgin Gorda, and Tortola. The November 4 sailing only will take place on Windstar’s all-suite Star Pride and the other eight departures are aboard the 342-guest classic sailing yacht Wind Surf.

Both yachts’ Watersports Platforms (which allow guests to jump from the yacht into the sea) will be operational daily on these cruises, except for embarkation/disembarkation days, so the sailings will be very focused on beaches, swimming, watersports, and snorkeling – all the things we want to do in paradise. Current rates are from $2,599 per guest. Beach Fun & Sun can easily be combined with Windstar’s Classic Caribbean for a two-week cruise, as the itineraries alternate and both depart from St. Maarten. Classic Caribbean includes stops in Dominica, Guadeloupe, St. Kitts, and Nevis, as well as a repeat in St. Barts (and who could complain about that).

“We created this itinerary specifically for people who like to spend time enjoying some of the best tropical beaches, swimming and watersports activities,” said Windstar Cruises’ President Christopher Prelog. Our small yachts visit scenic Caribbean islands for a peaceful, relaxing vacation away from crowds.”

Also new in the Caribbean: Windstar will be sailing from Miami for the first time in December, 2022.

The small ship cruise line just relocated its offices to Miami from Seattle, with a grand opening in June, which makes the sailings particularly meaningful to Windstar staff and crew. Jungles & Jewels of the Central American Coast stops in Key West before heading to Mexico, Belize, Guatemala and Honduras, then returning to Miami. The new Central America & the Panama Canal Revealed cruise brings guests from Miami to Mexico, Belize, Honduras, Costa Rica, and Panama.

Starting winter 2023, Windstar is introducing a new, seven-day round trip Costa Rica cruise itinerary (from Puerto Caldera) called Naturally Costa Rica, including inaugural calls in San Juan del Sur and Corinto in Nicaragua. Current rates start at $2,699 per guest. The new option easily combines with a Windstar Panama Canal itinerary for a 14-day adventure in the region.

Other returning Caribbean itineraries include Windward Island Surfs & Sunsets, a seven-day roundtrip San Juan sailing that’s a quick escape up and down the Windward Islands; Windward Ways & Tobago Cays, sailing through the Windward and ABC Islands; Yachtsman’s Caribbean, a classic voyage to the Caribbean’s private yachting scene; and more.
