Tottenham vs Brentford LIVE: Antonio Conte’s side make the perfect start as a Sergi Canos own goal puts them ahead inside just 12 minutes to settle the nerves following their European embarrassment
Tottenham take on Brentford, looking to bounce back from European embarrassment, in front of their own fans at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Thursday night.
The last game for Antonio Conte’s side was an embarrassing 2-1 Europa Conference League defeat to Slovenian minnows NS Mura, and their Premier League match against Burnley at the weekend was postponed due to poor weather.
They face Thomas Frank’s promoted side knowing a win would take them up to sixth, a point behind rivals Arsenal and within touching distance of the Champions League spots.
However, the Bees – who promise to provide a tricky test – can go level on points with Spurs if they win.
