BREAKING NEWS: Cristiano Ronaldo arrives at Manchester United for his first office chat with boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and training, after a taking ‘Day 5’ Covid test to get out of home quarantine early

  • Cristiano Ronaldo was given a tour of Manchester United’s Carrington base
  • He arrived in Manchester on Thursday but needed to quarantine on his arrival
  • Out of quarantine he was at Carrington and trained with team-mates on Tuesday

Cristiano Ronaldo wasted no time in getting reacclimatised to life at Manchester United‘s Carrington training base as he was given a guided tour by boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer – before he joined in with training ahead of making his debut.

The Portuguese forward, who has returned to United from Juventus on a two-year contract worth £385,000 a week, needed to spend five days in quarantine after arriving in the UK on Thursday.

Having taken tests on Saturday Ronaldo was able to conclude his quarantine period as part of the NHS’ test and release scheme, allowing him to join up with United.

Now out from isolation he met with United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, who was a team-mate during his first spell at Old Trafford, and they had a conversation in the manager’s office.

Ronaldo wasted no time in getting down to work either as he joined his team-mates for Tuesday’s training session.

He  sealed his sensational switch to the Red Devils in a £19.8million move from Juventus in the summer, 12 years on from his departure for Spanish giants Real Madrid.

There is hope among supporters that Ronaldo can make his homecoming debut at Old Trafford this weekend on Saturday.

More to follow.
