Love has no boundaries
🇵🇪 Yoga teacher Caroline Knight, 33, met Romulo Roque, 19, in Peru when she was working at a health camp. She fell for the Amazonian boy at first sight:
“I noticed Romulo — he worked as the handyman and looked after the animals. He was shy and whenever I said hello, his eyes would dart to the ground.”
👩‍❤️‍💋‍👨 Romulo couldn’t speak English but, fortunately, Caroline knew some Spanish. Ten days after they met, Romulo told Caroline he loved her, and Caroline answered the same. She believed it was true love, so nothing mattered:
“I feel safe and loved with Romulo. There are 14 years between us, but I don’t give it a second thought.”
👨🏾 She added men in the Amazon grow up fast, so Romulo is much more mature than his British peers.
🍫 Romulo and Caroline are now running a business producing organic cacao paste in Peru. They have big plans to revive Romulo’s family plantation and dream of coming to UK to meet Caroline’s relatives and friends.
