Outgoing USA Ambassador bids farewell to President Roopun
The outgoing Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United States of America (USA) to Mauritius, Mr David Dale Reimer, paid a farewell call on the President of the Republic, Mr Prithvirajsing Roopun, today, at the State House in Reduit.
In a statement after the meeting, Ambassador Reimer highlighted that discussions with President Roopun were cordial, adding that he had a wonderful working experience and a wonderful stay in Mauritius. “I really enjoyed living and working for three years in Mauritius, which is a beautiful country with warm and friendly people”, he added.
Mr Reimer further stated that the Governments of Mauritius and USA have a good relationship. He also underlined that he is now heading back to the USA before taking his next appointment as Ambassador to Sierra Leone.
