Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp confirms Joel Matip will be out for three weeks after defender limped off against West Brom with adductor injury… meaning he will miss key top-of-the-table clash against Manchester United
Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has confirmed Joel Matip will miss the next three weeks after limping off in the draw against West Brom on Sunday.
The 29-year-old pulled up sharply after damaging his adductor against the West Midlands side at Anfield, and missed the goalless draw at Newcastle a day after facing a scan.
But now Reds manager Klopp has revealed the Cameroonian will miss the club’s next three fixtures at least, which will see him sit out the crunch top-of-the-table clash against Manchester United.
‘The normal stuff with these kind of injuries, [he will be out for] around about three weeks,’ Klopp told a press conference after the draw at St James’ Park.
