- Taylor added there is an ‘increasing willingness’ for concussion substitutes
Gordon Taylor has claimed the PFA have been transparent about the independent review into his organisation, despite the QC-led report remaining unpublished.
Insiders told Sportsmail the report is ‘scathing’ about chief executive Taylor, 75, who is standing down after more than four decades at the union.
Some of its recommendations were made public when Taylor announced his exit, but it was only a seemingly watered-down summary that mentioned no names or examples of poor practice.

‘I’m very proud of the work we’ve done, proud of my staff, but that’s not to say… everybody can do better,’ Taylor told Sky Sports News on Friday.
He added: ‘That’s why I wanted to make it quite open, take what we’re told, look to adopt it.’
Meanwhile, Sportsmail’s campaign to tackle dementia in football is calling for temporary concussion subs to be immediately ratified. Taylor said: ‘I think there is increasing willingness to adopt that and I hope that’s the case.’
