Dear ALL,
We, Association Camionneurs Du Port, are informing all of you to take note that we will no longer take the burden upon us to take containers from chcl yard to go through scanning inorder to get delivery allowed from MRA custom.
The process to take containers to scanning does not come under the responsibility of Haulage company.
We,Association Camionneurs Du Port have been doing this task for years due to the lack of equipment of CHCL.
This issue has been arised at several times,and following the last meeting dated April 2019 between the Association and MRA Customs and CHCl and all stakeholders involved.During that meeting MRA Customs had clearly stated that Scanning falls under the responsibility of CHCL.
The MRA Customs has again requested us to do the Scanning for a short period by the time CHCl sorts out the issue.
Today,04 December 2020, after more than a year no solution has been found from CHCL.
After a meeting with MRA Customs,we have informed MRA Customs that as from Wednesday 09 December 2020,we will no longer proceed to scanning.
