‘I have NEVER seen the things I’m seeing’: Deontay Wilder’s former trainer Mark Breland left bemused by Bronze Bomber’s accusation that he spiked his water during defeat by Tyson Fury… as he refuses to be drawn into war of words with ex-WBC champ
- Deontay Wilder lost his unbeaten streak after losing to Tyson Fury in February
- Wilder’s ex-trainer Mark Breland threw in the towel in the seventh round
- The Bronze Bomber accused Breland of ‘tampering with his water’ beforehand
- But Breland has now come out to say he has ‘never seen the things I’m seeing’
Deontay Wilder‘s former trainer Mark Breland has spectacularly hit back at the Bronze Bomber after his accusation that his water was spiked before his loss to Tyson Fury.
Wilder lost his unbeaten record after he was stunned by The Gypsy King in Las Vegas back in February, with Breland throwing in the towel in the seventh round.
The American heavyweight has since reeled off a string of excuses, such as Fury using a weight in his glove, and last week he said his water was ‘tampered with… I think he [Mark Breland] has got something to do with it’ – a claim Breland has ridiculed.

In a statement released on Monday, Breland said: ‘Anyone who really knows me, knows I wouldn’t go back and forth with anybody UNLESS it’s in the ring!
‘I’ve been boxing since I was eight years old. So I didn’t give a big portion of my life to this sport, I DEDICATED MY ENTIRE LIFE TO THIS SPORT! But I have never seen the things I’m seeing know in ALL of those years!
‘I’m only on social media because of my girl. We went somewhere and there was a picture of me and she said, ‘this is one of the reasons you need social media in this day and time’.
‘She said there are people who have deep admiration for you and social media is a way to give them some access to you. She asks me all the time am I tired of it? Do I want to go back to life without it?’
Wilder fired Breland following his loss, but the 35-year-old has seemingly missed out on the opportunity of a trilogy fight against Fury, who is set to fight before the year is out.
Sportsmail revealed negotiations between the pair had been called off last month after the rematch clause expired. Fury said he had ‘moved on’ after becoming frustrated by Wilder changing the dates initially agreed.

‘I always say no because the amount of support, love and gratitude I get lets me know all the hard work I put into my career was worth it!’ Breland continued.
‘I looked at and ready thousands of videos, texts and comments and I would put up a thousand of them if I could because so many of them was 100 but I can’t.
‘But I’d have a file for ALL of them that moved me. I THANK ALL OF YOU FOR YOUR WORDS!’
Fury says Wilder has ‘lost his marbles’ after he accused him of cheating in February’s fight
Fury has responded to his latest accusations, brushing away his claims and saying ‘it’s one of those things’.
He told talkSPORT: ‘I think he has lost his marbles! First of all it was the suit, then it was the bicep injury, then his trainer was on our team, then the referee was against him, then I had weights in my gloves…
‘Now someone has spiked his water… It’s one of those things, isn’t it.’
